JP Morgan Chase had just launched their new highly anticipated iOS application to nearly 10 million mobile users. Although the navigation paradigm had changed and the visuals drastically improved, users were dissatisfied and asking for more useful new functional features. The mixed reviews resulted in an app store rating of just 2.5. The application needed to answer users requests and give them some features they really wanted, more than just a visual refresh. The app needed a new feature to boost the rating and stand out in the marketplace.
We designed and launched Touch ID, thus being the first national bank to do so. The app received great acclaim and was the featured app on the iOS app store as well as featured in Apple’s Keynote address. Over subsequent release cycles, we added more features from the product backlog including Account Preview and View Checks among others to maintain the high rating.
The app received over 10,000 reviews, averaged 5 stars with great acclaim and was the featured app on the iOS app store as well as Apple’s Keynote address.

A Major Investment Bank needed to renovate their outdated client trading experience to be on par with competitors such as Charles Schwab and Fidelity. The goal was to provide a superior user experience, increased client satisfaction, increase trading revenues by tens of millions dollars, and significantly reduce support costs and operations time.
We performed a comprehensive competitive analysis, user journey audit, user research interviews to dozens of financial advisors, user testing with numerous clients and active traders, and tested prototype concepts for design discovery validation. Key features included product strategy, trading systems designs, seamless transaction management, intelligent user profiles, smart asset allocation dashboard, proprietary research integration, and components scalability.
The final presentation plan delivered a comprehensive long-term platform strategy with a multi-phased product release roadmap to meet critical KPIs. The strategy plan was directly integrated into the product plan and development roadmap over the subsequent release cycles.

Financial Technology Specialization.
A Major Private Bank wanted to increase assets under management for leverage and to comply with regulators. In addition, clients were asking for more liquid access to their capital. The bank wanted to offer a high yield savings account to their clients, but financial advisors had reservations over offering discretionary products directly to clients.
We provided a seamless promotion and on-boarding experience to encourage clients and financial advisors to enroll in a high-yield savings account while maintaining the advisory relationship.
In less than 30 days, clients deposited Billions of dollars in new assets under management.
